Christina is a civil litigator with specialist expertise in construction, property and insurance.

With more than 25 years’ experience in complex civil claims, she has appeared at all levels of the New Zealand courts and in numerous arbitrations. She has represented clients in Royal Commissions and Government Inquiries into building and infrastructure failures as well as regulatory investigations into trade practices. She acts for professional service providers in disciplinary proceedings.

Christina was a litigation partner at Hesketh Henry from 2006 to 2025 and the managing partner from 2020-2023.  She is a former director of the Lawlink network of independent law firms and a faculty member of the NZLS Litigation Skills programme.

  • Fletcher Construction Co Ltd v XAM Ltd – fire at the New Zealand International Convention Centre construction site.
  • Red Stag Timber Ltd v Juken New Zealand Ltd – Fair Trading Act litigation concerning product labelling and treatment standards.
  • Savvy Vineyards litigation – enforcement of supply contracts at all levels of the courts.  Includes New Zealand’s leading authority on the assignment and novation of contracts.
  • Infinity Enterprises NZ Ltd v Kinara Trustee Ltd – rights of way over a commercial property development (Court of Appeal and Supreme Court).
  • Carter Holt Harvey Ltd v Genesis Power Ltd & Rolls-Royce New Zealand Ltd – claim for alleged defects in a cogeneration plant at Kinleith Mill.  NZ’s largest construction claim.
